I am a Writer. Which is to say that I wear many literary hats, try on multiple authorial personalities, and express my thoughts in a multitude of creative forms. I am not a one trick pony.

I write advertising campaigns. I’ve spent nearly two decades as an award-winning Creative Director, creating multi-media campaigns for some of the world’s most recognized brands, including Southwest Airlines, BMW, Kohler, and AARP, to name a few. In doing so, I’ve worked with such luminary directors as Christopher Guest, Joe Pytka, The Brothers Quay, Craig Gillespie, and Martin Schoeller. And agencies? Namely GSD&M, Arnold Worldwide, DDB Needham, and The Richards Group.

I write short stories and have been published in the horror anthology The Monsters Who Loved Me (Lucky Dark Press), as well as in such reputable journals as Word Riot, Cold Mountain Review, Prime Mincer, and Jet Fuel Review, in which I was nominated for Best of the Net ’12.

I write screenplays, including my most recent TV Pilot based upon my novel The Divorce Comedy.

I write novels, one of which I’m shopping around and another in which I’m in the many-layered drafting process.

Simply put, I know how to build compelling stories: it all comes down to connecting with an audience. Whether that’s on TV, in a novel, on the web, at the mall.

No matter the venue, the message is only as powerful as the writing. It all starts with a #2 pencil.
