There is something in the water at Kohler.
How else can you explain a client that allows you to turn ads for toilets into works of art? Consider this: an articulated faucet that doubles as a striking cobra; a ship’s captain who admires toilets-in-a-bottle; a shower system dramatic enough for Dancing with the Stars. These surreal images are just a few examples in my campaign.
As a brand, Kohler has a long history of appreciating design and creativity. They treat their own products as one-of-a-kind museum pieces. All of their products are born out of an inherent truth, which my team and I translated into a campaign: The Bold Look of Kohler.
Each year we collaborated with the world’s most respected photographers and directors to create our award-winning “As I See It” series. The key to its success and longevity was our commitment to craftsmanship. Every detail mattered. Our goal: to insure every ad had a timeless quality—while still remaining modern, relevant. A pretty high bar.
